More fun than modernism, less serious.
An exhausted and pessimistic attitude- Everything's been done before.
Established as a term in 1970
Post modernism responds to the rules and boundaries set by modernism by having no rules or boundaries e.g. Jamie Reid- punk style.
Where Modernism ignored peoples needs, Post modernism adds more of a human element with colours and curves and less rules.
Post Modernism attacks the pretensions of modernism.
Takes influence from the past and recycles old ideas.
Experimental design that questions readability/ legibility.
